Glossary

A helpful guide so you don't whiff on the terms.

W: Win (2 Points)
When a reliever's team takes the lead while he is pitching.

L: Loss
When the reliever gives up the lead to the opposing team and the opposing team never relinquishes the lead and they go on to win.

SV: Save (3 Points)
A pitcher is credited with a save when he meets the following conditions: He is the finishing pitcher in a game won by his team. He is not the winning pitcher. He satisfies one of the following conditions: 1. He enters the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitches for at least one inning. 2. He enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, at bat or on deck. 3. He pitches for at least three innings.

BSV: Blown Save
When a reliever fails to convert a save opportunity.

TSV: Tough Save (1 Point in addition to 3 from Save)
When the reliever comes in with the tying run on base and saves the game, he gets an extra point.

PTS: Points
The total points when wins, saves, and tough saves are added together, and blown saves and losses are deducted from a player's total score.
